Plumber's Ready to Work Program

Please complete the fields below and submit all necessary paperwork to show eligibility for 2025. Along with the necessary documents, eligibility requires:

  1. A minimum of 400 hours worked (where the employee is paying into the Local 98 Fringe Funds), within the eligibility year.

  2. The requesting individual may NOT have been classified as an Apprentice during any portion of the eligibility calendar year.

  3. This completed form, with all proper documents, must be received by 1.31.26 to be eligible. No exceptions will be granted.

The documents that the individual employee must submit are:

  • State of Michigan Plumber's License

  • ASSE 5110 Backflow Prevention Certification

  • NFPA99 Medical Gas Installer Certification


Ready to Work payouts can be achieved in 3 tiers, all of which can be earned separately:


Tier 1 (12 Hours):

  • State of Michigan Plumber's License

  • Completed Drug Test (Recorded by MUST)

  • First Aide Certification (Submitted by Issuing Company)

  • MUST Modules (Recorded by MUST)


Tier 2 (3 Hours):

  • ASSE 5110 Backflow Prevention Certification


Tier 3 (3 Hours):

  • NFPA99 Medical Gas Installer Certification
