Committees and Communities

Committees: A committee is a group of individuals convened for a specific purpose, often following formal structure and protocols. They work together to accomplish tasks or make decisions on behalf of a larger organization or community.

Professional Learning Community: A Professional Learning Community (PLC) refers to a group of people who share a common understanding, language, traditions, and norms. They come together based on shared interests to receive information and updates on related topics.

Our committees and communities are thoughtfully established to address evolving industry needs and association initiatives. Comprised of member contractor representatives and MCA Detroit staff, they ensure a holistic and balanced approach to discussions and decision-making. We believe in fostering collaboration and inclusivity by welcoming any member contractors who feel inspired to contribute. Together, we create impactful solutions and drive meaningful progress.

Education Committee

Our Education Committee plays a vital role in shaping the professional growth of industry members. Tasked with developing the Contractor Professional Development Schedule, the committee regularly assesses the evolving professional development needs of the industry. With a commitment to advancing knowledge and skills, the committee ensures that education initiatives remain relevant, impactful, and beneficial to all.
